We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Have a public enquiery into Kendall House, Gravesend, Kent. An enquiery into not only the severe & shocking abuse, but also an enquiery into why the girls drugged went onto have children with birth defects.

Kendall House severely abused many young girls in care, sexually, physically, mentally and used the most extreme doses of dangerous psychotropic drugs without consent on girls in care of the local authorities and the Church of England. Chemotherapy was also highlighted in that regime in 1979 & 1980. The girls did not have cancer.

We demand an enquiry into the shocking abuse, the drugs and the side affects of those drugs used on the girls and an enquiry into why the girls children have been born with birth defects associated to the drugs forced on them in Kendall House.

We call for a public enquiry due to the fact that it was known to the government in 1979,1980 and they chose to ignore the abuse at Kendall House and the Church of England refused an enquiry in 1980 into what was going on behind those closed doors. That led to the further severe abuse of many more girls of which some have committed suicide.

This site aims to expose the way the mental health system fails and re-traumatizes adult survivors of severe childhood trauma and abuse.

The sad fact is that the current mental health system fails and re-traumatizes many victims of severe childhood trauma and abuse. Rather than being helped many are ignored and their lives are blighted by contact with mental health services.

Problems exist such as

Putting male convicted sex offenders in the same ward and sometimes the next bed as female victims of sexual violence.

Wards being smeared with excrement (hardly a place for battered wives etc to regain a sense of self worth or human decency)

Frequent mis-diagnosis due to very poor training on abuse issues

Because of such poor training “professionals” assume some survivors are beyond help and are incurable.

The system then witholds any appropriate psychotherapy and effectively gives up on such patients.

….the list goes on! This site will look at some of the issues survivors face!

This Website is dedicated to exposing the way the mental health service has let down victims of severe trauma and abuse and gives a space for people to share their experiences. Obviously if people would prefer to remain anonymous thats fine - and as many people as want to contribute are welcome. I don't want anyone to feel excluded - emotional abuse counts as well as physical abuse and everyone is welcome!...
